One rule

Telling families about the book

One rule keeps your club on the right side of the email and messaging law.

Fine

A public post

On your club’s page or website, for anyone to see.

Only with agreement

Emails and direct messages

These count as marketing: only to people who agreed to receive club news, with a way to opt out.

A public post on your club’s page or website is fine. Emails and direct messages about the book count as marketing: send them only to people who agreed to receive club news, and include a way to opt out[4][5].

We never ask your club for a list of parents, and there is no way to upload one.
